Rolex, Patek Philippe and Richard Mille – the Liverpool players' watches are as spectacular as their football

Liverpool players' watchesThe 30-year wait is over. Liverpool are Premier League champions, having clinched the title with a record seven games of the season to spare. Frankly, it turned into an annihilation. Jürgen Klopp’s team won 26 of 27 league games from August to February 28 and haven’t lost at home in the league for three whole years. Right now they are English, European and World champions. But how does the team’s wrist game stack up? The Mastermind – Jürgen Klopp The Watch – IWC Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition “50 Years Aquatimer” Usually when a team is this dominant, the resentment of rival fans curdles into animosity. But it’s impossible to dislike Klopp. The charismatic German manager with the megawatt grin has revolutionised the Premier League with his “heavy metal football”, characterised by insanely attacking full-backs and a high-pressing, full-throttle style. Excitable and demonstrative, Klopp is not a man of great subtlety, so he’s happy wearing this extra-large watch. The 49mm case of this IWC Aquatimer houses multiple complications that include an unusual perpetual calendar in which the date, month and leap-year indication are all represented digitally. In-Depth – Living with the A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus Steel

MICRO MONDAYS: Hands-on with the William Wood Valiant White

Editor’s note: Well, this little brand from London that thought it could, sure has convinced us of their seriousness over the last six months. It started with an email to us practically begging to donate a watch to the Watch & Act! Auction in aid of the Australian bushfires. It was a bit late in the game, but the fit was too good to not make it happen. Jonny had us at upcycled fire hoses. So we did it, we put it in. The watch sold high. Then the Valiant Red watch sold out, generally speaking. The fire emoji is appropriate on several levels, and if you’re interested, rest assured, we’re back in stock. To see it in the metal, check out this video.    If there was an early candidate to be stocked on our marketplace, it was William Wood Watches. And since then, there’s more news on the Australian front. We can’t tell all right now. But we can say that a commemorative piece with the Metropolitan Fire Brigade is in the works. To find out how you can order this, please email sales@timeandtidewatches.com None of this however is to steal the thunder from this pretty handsome new watch, the ‘Valiant White’. James,…

Switzerland, Japan, Germany, France or England are the countries we all think about when it comes to the production of watches and clocks. However, if you go back one hundred years, watchmakers were everywhere, including a place you probably didn’t expect: Transylvania. Today, we’d like to introduce a new accessible watch launched on Kickstarter, which […]
