What happens when the iconic Daytona runs into a tutti-frutti trove of precious gemstones? The Rainbow Daytona: a spectacular watch that combines the thrill of the racetrack with the thrill of vibrant gemstones. The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116595RBOW, aka the Rainbow Daytona, is a “wow watch”. Exuberant and downright flamboyant, it’s either yes or no, love or hate, but you can’t help reacting to it. Now in its third iteration, the model unveiled at Baselworld 2018 comes in a warm Everose gold case and the hour markers are highlighted in gradated sapphires to match those set on the bezel. Frederique Constant has a long-standing collaboration with the Riva Historical Society, a Milan-based association dedicated to preserving classic Riva boats, that started in 2009. Every year since, the watchmaker has created limited edition Runabout watches to commemorate their partnership. This year is no different as they just launched two new automatic versions. Still combining an elegant look and nautical theme, here are the 2018 Frederique Constant Automatic Runabout with classic navy-blue dials and hobnail pattern.
