After colourful street artist collaborations coming from Richard Mille and TAG Heuer, now the independent high-end brand Manufacture Royale has added something colourful to the collection. The Manufacture Royale ADN Street Art Collection stands out with its unique architecture, like the rest of the ADN collection, and now adds a dose of colours, ‘dressing up’ its movement. A result of its graphic design process, and water printing, each one of these bold timepieces is unique.
Some heavy-hitting vintage watches from prominent makers of the 20th century.
For as long as I can remember, watch brands, and a few in particular, have been involved in Formula 1 motor sport. This is not surprising of course, in the fast-paced world of Formula 1, timing is everything. In recent times, one relationship has proven particularly fruitful: Red Bull Racing and Tag Heuer. Last month we were invited to visit the Red Bull Racing factory in Milton Keynes, UK to see first-hand how a Formula 1 team operates and learn just how important its timing partner can really be.
Late last year I celebrated a milestone birthday, turning the big three-zero. After coming to terms with the death of my twenties and realising that the big moments in life should be celebrated not mourned, I decided the occasion needed to be marked with a new watch. Thankfully my wife agreed, so a budget was set and the search was on: I began the task of shortlisting contenders. The top pick changed more times than I feel comfortable admitting, but finally, one watch prevailed: the practical and modern Tudor Pelagos. The only thing left to decide was the dial colour. The easily wearable black dial? Or the vibrant blue? Then, to throw a spanner in the works, the week I was ready to walk into the local dealer and make my pick with the toss of a coin, Tudor surprised us all with the release of the southpaw-approved Pelagos LHD. Call it luck … call it fate … call it whatever you want, but as soon as I laid eyes on the LHD, the choice was clear, and after a couple of phone calls, one was on its way to me. My first impression was … flabbergasted! In the best possible…
The post MY 6 MONTHS WITH: The Tudor Pelagos LHD appeared first on Time and Tide Watches.
What does the king of vintage Heuer think of this new high-profile reissue?
Today we go hands-on with the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral, which is the brand’s most basic version with their highly interesting in-house movement. It’s more than just a pretty face, as it features an unusual peripheral rotor that allows for unrestricted views of the CFB 1000 movement inside. After our review of the Manero Power Reserve, and that time we explained the peripheral rotor in depth, we now take a look at the Manero Peripheral.

Old HODINKEE friend Andre Iguodala and his Golden State Warriors won the NBA title last night – but did you know he’s a pretty serious watch guy?
