Hands-On: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos 568 Designed By Marc Newson

One of my first stops at SIHH a few weeks ago was the Jaeger-LeCoultre booth, where I was on the hunt for one thing in particular – and it wasn’t even a watch I was looking for. I stepped into the booth, got tunnel vision, and b-lined for the back, where, sitting on an unassuming white bookcase was the new Marc Newson–designed Atmos 658 clock. It was love at first sight.

Hands-On: The Oris Artelier Calibre 113, A Non-Traditional Calendar Packing Serious Power

Oris is well known for offering quality watches that present good value for money. It’s the dive watches, the vintage-inspired models in particular, that get most of the attention, but Oris does a lot more than just divers – the Artelier Calibre 113 is a perfect example. This calendar watch has an in-house movement, a slightly unusual display, and an impressive 10-day power reserve.

Ralf Tech WRV V Automatic 1977 ‘Parisienne’ Watch Review

We don’t get to talk about Ralf Tech too much, but right off the bat I want to say that I really became a much bigger fan of the Ralf Tech WRV V Automatic 1977 “Parisienne” dive watch after spending a few weeks with it. Given the amount of watches we’re exposed to here, it can be difficult for anything to “stand out.”

Schwarz Etienne, An Integrated Manufacture With Much More Than First Meets The Eye

Schwarz Etienne, a brand that flies under the radar for many but if you take the time to look a little closer, you will soon discover that it has a lot to offer. Its product offering is structured around three main collections (plus a few exclusive pieces). Recently we had the opportunity to visit to the manufacture, which was an eye-opening experience, to say the least. The brand has incredible potential and already boasts a surprisingly high level of vertical integration – in particular the in-house production of hairsprings with E2O innovations, their sister company located in the same facilities in La Chaux-de-fonds. That’s rare enough and it really needs an in-depth explanation.
