A Kryptonite Watch? Caption Competition #31

At Baselworld 2016 I heard whispered rumors at the A.H.C.I. booth of a meteor with mystical powers. I dismissed the chatter as just another watchmaker fairy tale, until one night when I was led to a thick lead safe with just one item inside: a fragment of meteorite. My question to you this week: what has been cut out of the meteorite and what powers might it bestow on its wearer?

Hands-on Review: Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time – Live Photos, Specs and Price

There’s something about luxury sports watches. For me this category of watches -if we can call it a category at all- is the most versatile, comfortable, and useful around, and these are probably the best every-day watches that you can find. Wear ’em under the shower, in the swimming pool or sea, they are good when playing with the kids, or when you’re working out in the gym. They even look great with suit & tie behind your desk or in the board room. From my perspective this category of watches could use some more competition, so I was happy to see Vacheron Constantin launch a completely redesigned Overseas collection earlier this year. During a recent event I had a lot of time to see and wear the new Overseas, Overseas Chronograph and the Overseas World Time. Today we’re going to show you the latter, a comfortable worldtimer, that’s as versatile as it gets. Here’s the Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time.

Chopard Mille Miglia 2016 XL Race Edition Watch Review

Car racing and watches: such a seemingly ever-young combination, tirelessly perpetuated by the countless automotive-inspired watches released year over year. Despite the highly saturated segment, there actually are very few watches that can pull off this racing vibe and remain wearable for the times when, you know, you are not driving your Porsche 550 Spyder on the twisty roads along the Côte d’Azur. The Chopard Mille Miglia 2016 XL Race Edition promises to be one of these few.

GONE IN 60 SECONDS: A new take on the Big Bang. The Hublot Meca-10 All Black video review

You’re looking at the Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 All Black. Further proof, if any were needed, that the brand is on a roll right now. The Meca-10 combines the best of classic Hublot (that case, the All-Black concept) with increasingly confident movement and dial design – not least the Meccano-inspired industrial skeletonisation and deep movement architecture of the new HUB 1201.…
